PENTECOST SUNDAY: Today is Pentecost Sunday, the Descent of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. Let us pray for a spiritual renewal for ourselves and our Church. As part of the Pentecost Celebration, we have made available paper representations of the fruits of the Holy Spirit to help us in modelling our lives. Please pick one at the exit doors of the church before leaving and do your best to nurture that fruit in your life. Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us!!
SPECIAL BLESSING FOR THE MONTH: Today is the Last Sunday of the month. There shall be a special thanksgiving for those born in the month of May and those who had wedding anniversaries or any special celebration during this month.
ORDINARY TIME: From tomorrow, the Liturgical Period referred to as “Ordinary Time of the Year” resumes. The weeks of Ordinary Time celebrates no particular aspect of the mystery of Christ. The saying of “Angelus” is resumed. The Readings at Mass are taken from Week 10 of the year; Sunday readings are from Year C and Weekday readings are from Cycle II. The colour of the season is Green.
CHIDREN’S DAY: Our parish Children’s Day celebration comes up on 3rd and 4th June 2023. On Saturday, 3rd June 2023, there shall be a Talk for all children and parents at 10:00am at the Pope John Paull II Hall. On Sunday, 4th June 2023, the celebration shall begin with the Children’s mass at 10:00am and the Children’s party immediately after in the church compound. Let us specially celebrate our wonderful children as a parish.
FEAST OF THE VISITATION: Tuesday, 31st May 2022 is the feast of the visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin Elizabeth. It also marks the end of the May Devotion. There shall be a Candlelight Rosary Procession by 5:00pm. Let us endeavour to be in attendance. SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY: Next week Sunday, 4th June 2023 is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the undivided unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let us all prepare to celebrate this great mystery of the Church.

REQUIEM MASS: There will be Requiem Mass for Late Mrs Juliana Ugorji JP on Friday, 2nd June 2023 by 12:30pm. She was a member of the Association Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Catholic Women Organization and Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
FIRST FRIDAY COMMUNION TO THE SICK AND HOME-BOUND: The First Friday visit and communion to the sick and home-bound comes up this Friday, June 2nd, 2023.

HOLY
CHILD CHOIR: The Holy Child Choir invites all children within the ages
of 8 to 15 years who can play any musical instrument to come use their talents
and skills to serve the Lord in the choir. The choir meets on Wednesdays and
Saturdays at 6pm in the upper hall of the parish center. Registration is
free. Sing praises… unto the Lord!

(1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours.
