- MISSION SUNDAY: Today is World Mission Sunday with the theme: “Hearts on Fire, Feet on the Move”. It is a day set aside to reawaken our consciousness and commitment to the evangelization mission of the Church and also to pray for the success of missionary activities in the Church all over the world. Our Second Collection today will be towards the success of missionary activities in the Church, please let us donate generously.
- SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE POOR: Today, we shall have our monthly Special Collection for the Poor. This collection is to help support the activities of St. Vincent De Paul. Let us all donate generously. “Remember, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me”.
- FEAST DAY: Saturday, 28th October is the feast of Sts. Simon & Jude (Apostles). We are all encouraged to observe the feast devoutly.
- 2023 OCTOBER DEVOTION: Our 2023 Parish October Devotion in honour of our Blessed Virgin Mary is ongoing. Please note that the devotion begins by 5:00pm on weekdays with the Rosary and other prayers while there will be brief talks on various aspects of the Blessed Virgin Mary after the Post-Communion Prayer, from Mondays to Friday at the 6:30pm Masses. Saturdays at 6:30am Mass and on Sundays during Benediction. Let us all endeavour to participate actively and remember to pray our Holy Rosary daily. - SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: SCC meetings will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, 25th October 2023 at 6pm. Scriptural reading: Matthew 22:34-40. Please note that there will be no evening Mass or Society meetings during the SCC time. There shall be mass this Wednesday at St. Andrew SCC. Venue: 511 Road, B Close, House 11, Festac Town. All those living around should be in attendance. Please refer to the Parish notice board or parish website for the various centers.
- KNOW YOUR FAITH: This Saturday, 28th October 2023, we shall have our Parish Monthly Know Your Faith/Doctrinal Class during the 6:30am mass. All parishioners are encouraged to be in attendance so as to grow in the faith.
- NAZARETH 40TH ANNIVERSARY: The Thanksgiving Mass to conclude the ceremonies marking the 40th Anniversary of Nazareth School, Festac Town comes up here in our Parish next Sunday, 29th October, 2023. Please note that the Mass shall be at 10:30am, NOT 10:00am.
- ALL SAINTS: Tuesday November 1st, 2023, is the Solemnity of All Saints. It is a day when the Church celebrates all the holy men and women, known and unknown. It is a holy day of obligation. Let us all prepare to attend mass and observe it accordingly. Masses shall be at the usual times.
- ALL SOULS: Wednesday November 2nd, 2023, is the Commemoration of All the faithful departed (All Souls). Special envelopes will be distributed today for us to write the names of our departed loved ones and make an offering for masses throughout the month of November. Masses shall be at the usual times.
- TRADE FEST 2023: In a bid to have our Parishioners participate more in our 2023 Harvest Program, our maiden Parish Trade Fest comes up on Sunday, 5th November, 2023 from 7:00am to 5:00pm in the Church Premises. We are calling on Parishioners to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase your products and services. We also appeal to Parishioners to patronize the Sales Stand on that day. Start your Christmas shopping at the Fest and boost the businesses of our brothers and sisters. There will be lots to buy and plenty side attractions. - HPV VACCINE: Lagos State Government in collaboration with National Primary Health Care Development Agency and Development Partners (i.e. WHO, UNICEF etc) plans to introduce the Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (HPV) to Routine Immunization (RI) schedule. This vaccine is used to avert vaginal warts and the increased deaths due to cervical, oro-pharyngeal and anal cancers mong women. It is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, 24th October 2023 to Sunday, 29th October 2023. Time: 7:00am daily. Venue: Health Centres, Hospitals, Schools, Churches, Mosques, Markets and other designated posts in the community. Please note also that adults 18 years and above will have the opportunity for COVID-19 vaccination.
- ALTAR SERVERS: There is a call for new members into the Association. Male (from age of communicant to 16 years) & Female (from age of communicant to 12 years) previous servers from other Parish are also free to join. We encourage all parents/guardians to permit children who are interested to join.
- BLESSING OF HOLY WATER AND SACRAMENTALS: Parishioners are encouraged to come with their Water, Salt, Olive Oil and other sacramentals for blessing every Tuesday for the Rite of Blessings during the evening mass.
- NIN COLLECTION: This is to inform you our dear parents that the NIN slips of their children who registered for the NIN exercise conducted in the parish sometime in the month of May are ready for pickup. Kindly pick them up at the Parish Office during the week between 9:00am to 4:00pm.
- PARISH ID CARDS: This is to inform parishioners that the Parish ID cards of those who registered since June this year and beyond are ready for collection at the Parish Office, kindly go to the Parish Office to check. Also, we encourage our new members to please register at the Parish Office and those whose card is expired can as well renew at the Parish Office.
- (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be reading from the Letter St. Jude & Book of Revelation. Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

- RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
