TO ALL PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS WORKING IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF LAGOS, AND THE LAY FAITHFUL

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord:

1. THE MONTH OF DECEMBER: We thank the Lord for preserving our lives to see the beginning of the last month of the year 2022 and for walking with us through the most difficult times that we have experienced in the course of the year. The month of December is a month of hope, expectation, joy and celebration. During the month we have celebrations such as the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the birth our Lord at Christmas and the Feast of Holy Family of Nazareth. The month is one of introspection, stock-taking, self-evaluation and thanksgiving to God.

2. AUGUSTINE UNIVERSITY, ILARA (AUI) OFFERS NEW COURSES: Our Augustine University has got NUC approval to enroll students for the following new courses: B.Sc Mass Communication B.Sc Political Science B.Sc Biochemistry B.Sc Cyber Security B.Sc Fisheries and Aquaculture B.Sc Information Technology B.Sc Software Engineering.

3. ARCHDIOCESAN CHRISTMAS CAROLS: The Lagos Archdiocesan Music Commission (LAMCOM) in collaboration with Holy Cross Cathedral presents the Lagos Archdiocesan Christmas Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols with the theme: The Virgin Will Conceive and Bear a Son (Mt. 1:23). This festival will feature the Holy Cross Cathedral Choir, the Archdiocesan 6 Choir, the Ikeja, Badagry, Lagos, and Lekki Regional Choirs, the Musica Casa Chorale and the Cecilian Diploma Chorale. Chief Host: Most Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins, Archbishop of Lagos. Date: Sunday, 18th December, 2022. Venue: Holy Cross Cathedral. Time: 3:00pm. Let\’s celebrate the birth of Christ in a musical grand style. All are cordially invited.

4. ADMISSION INTO LAGOS ARCHDIOCESAN CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS: This is to inform our parents that admission into Basic 7 (JSS 1) for the 2023/2024 academic session in all Catholic Secondary Schools in the Archdiocese of Lagos is in progress. The Entrance Examination comes up on Saturday, 11th February, 2023 at the schools. Forms can be obtained at the school of choice, all Catholic Primary Schools in the Archdiocese, selected parishes and electronically on examcentre.ng or on any of the following Catholic Archdiocesan Secondary Schools’ websites:
