Parish Announcements – 18th December, 2022

  1. APPRECIATION: We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Planning Committee, the Choir and all Parishioners for their presence and support at last week’s Parish Festival of Lessons and Carols Ceremony as well as the Send-forth Ceremony for our beloved former Associate Priest, Rev. Fr. Ebuka Afoma and welcoming Ceremony of Rev. Sr. Clementina Okoli. May the good Lord replenish us in abundance. Amen.

  1. CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR BULLETIN: The special Christmas/New Year bulletin publication will be on sale today Sunday, 18th December 2022. It will cover from Sunday 18th December 2022 to Saturday 14th January 2023. Price: ₦400
  1. PARISH OFFICE: The Parish Office will close for Christmas Break tomorrow, 19th December 2022, to reopen on Monday January 9th, 2022. Please take note. Mass Bookings can be done at the Sacristy after mass.
  1. PARISH FEAST DAY: Friday, 30th December, 2022, is the feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, our annual Parish Feast Day. Our celebrations shall begin with mass by 10am. There shall be a Love Feast and reception after the mass at the Parish Event Centre. As usual, Families are to book for tables, come with food, drinks and extras. To this effect, a register will be on a table by the entrance of the new Church for Family table booking. There will be good music, Family Games, Family Dance Competition and lots more. Let us all prepare to celebrate this year’s Parish Feast Day as a family. We are all encouraged to dress in our Parish Uniforms.
  1. 21-DAYS FOUNDATIONAL PRAYER: All Parishioners are specially invited to next year’sParish 21-Day foundational Prayer 2023. Theme: From Glory to Glory (2 Cor 3:18). Date: 7th -27th January 2023. Time: 6pm-9pm Daily. Venue: Holy Family Catholic Church, 22 Road, Festac Town, Lagos. Come and be Blessed!!!

HARVEST PLEDGE REDEMPTION: We wish to encourage all parishioners to kindly redeem their pledges at the Harvest Stand (On Sunday) and the parish office (during the week) in cash, cheque or POS and get a receipt. You can as well pay directly to the Harvest Account; HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH, HARVEST, ZENITH 1014506326.
  1. TITHES: Parishioners who wish to pay their tithes can make your transfers to our Fidelity Bank 5080032193 in favour of Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac.
  1. PRE-MARRIAGE COURSE: This is to inform parishioners that Pre-Marriage Class which holds every Sunday at 4:00pm has closed for Christmas break and shall resume on Sunday 12th January, 2023.
  1. CATECHISM CLASSES: This is to inform parishioners that Catechism Classes which holds every Saturday at 4:00pm has closed for Christmas break and shall resume on Saturday 21st January, 2023.
  1. CONFESSIONS: Confessions will resume on Saturday, 7th January 2023.
  1. INFANT BAPTISM: Infant Baptism for the month of January shall hold on Saturday, 21st January 2023. The compulsory Pre-Baptismal class for parents and godparents holds on Sunday 15th January 2023 at 4:00pm at Msgr. Omisesan Hall. Please note that godparents are to come along with their Baptismal Cards and must be confirmed.
  1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. We are also encouraged to read through the Gospel of Luke within this period of the Christmas Season. Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

  1. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
