- TITHE SUNDAY: Today, the first Sunday of the month is Tithe Sunday, there shall be a special blessing before the Second Collection. You can also make your transfers to our Fidelity Bank 5080032193 in favour of Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac.
- FIRST MONDAY ANOINTING: Tomorrow, 7th October 2024, is the first Monday of the month. There shall be special blessing and anointing at all masses. Let us all endeavour to participate in this spiritual exercise.
- WELCOME: On behalf of the Parish Pastoral team and the entire worshipping community, we welcome to our Parish the Catholic Young Adult Association in Lagos Archdiocese as they shall have their Feast Day celebration today. We wish them a fruitful and happy celebration.
- OCTOBER DEVOTION 2024: Our 2024 October devotion in honor of our Blessed Virgin Mary is ongoing. It begins by 5:30pm on weekdays and 4:30pm on Sundays with the Rosary and other prayers while there will be brief inspiring talks on various aspects of the Blessed Virgin Mary after the Post-Communion Prayer, from Mondays to Friday at the 6:30pm Masses. Saturdays at 6:30am Mass and on Sundays during Benediction. The Icon Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the Redemptorist Fathers will be from Sunday, 20th October to Sunday, 27th October 2024. - REQUIEM MASS: There will be Requiem Mass for Late Mr Roland Olague on Friday, 11th October, 2024 by 12:30pm. He was a member of the Catholic Men Organization, Association of Sacred Heart of Jesus & Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Anthony of Padua and St. John of the Cross. We are all encouraged to pray for the repose of his soul.
- SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: SCC meetings will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, 9th October, 2024 at 6pm. Scriptural reading: Mark 10:17-30. Please note that there will be no evening Mass or Society meetings during the SCC time. There shall be mass this Wednesday at St. Paul SCC. Venue: 401 Road, G Close, Block5, Flat 4, Festac Town. All those living around should be in attendance. Please refer to the Parish notice board or parish website for the various centers.
- ORGANIZATIONS MEETING: Next Sunday, 13th October 2024, is the Monthly General Meetings of the Catholic Men Organization and Catholic Women Organization (after the 10.00am Mass) and Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (after the 8:00am Mass). Let us all prepare to attend our respective organization meetings.
- BLESSING OF WATER & SACRAMENTALS: There will be blessing of water and other sacramental every Tuesday during the evening mass. We are all encouraged to participate actively.
- CATECHISM CLASSES: Parents and Guardians of all catechism children should kindly take note that catechism classes begin at 3:45pm and closes at 6:00pm. Kindly ensure that the children are picked up out of the compound by 6:15pm on Saturdays after the catechism classes.
- OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP: Parishioners are encouraged to light candles for their various intentions at the statue of Our Lady of Perpetual Help beside the Sanctuary. Please note that ONLY CUP CANDLES are allowed.
- ALTAR WINE: Please be reminded that our altar wine is now sold for N6,500 (per bottle) and N78,000 (per carton). We apologize for any inconveniences.
- SECURITY ALERT: Dear beloved parishioners, we will like to draw our parishioners’ attention to be more security conscious and hold on to their valuables especially in the church during mass. This is to prevent cases of theft in the church. In the same vein, we wish to bring to your notice some fraudulent act that has been on the increase in recent times. There have been cases of people hacking into the various WhatsApp platforms of the parish, requesting for either money or a particular code to be sent. We appeal to us all to be careful of these hackers who may try to trick you into divulging sensitive information. Please be cautious of any messages or emails asking you to send codes, money or personal information, claiming to be from the Priests or Parish Office. These are likely fraudulent attempts.
Remember:
– Our parish will never ask you to send money into an account that does not belong to the parish nor send codes or personal information via email or message.
– Be wary of suspicious requests, even if they appear to come from a familiar name or email address.
– Always verify the authenticity of such requests by contacting the parish office or the Priests of the parish directly.
LET US ALL STAY VIGILANT AND SAFE ONLINE SO AS NOT TO FALL VICTIM TO THESE FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES.
- PARISH ID CARDS: This is to inform parishioners that the Parish ID cards of those who registered since last year 2023 and beyond are ready for collection at the Parish Office, kindly go to the Parish Office to check. Also, we encourage our new members to please register at the Parish Office and those whose card is expired can as well renew at the Parish Office.
- CLEANING OF THE CHURCH: We kindly urge all parishioners to adopt a proper maintenance culture regarding the upkeep of our church properties and premises. This includes:
– Using the waste bins provided to dispose of trash, rather than littering the church grounds.
– Make use of the Toilet and Ensure it is left in a clean state after use.
– Returning and properly arranging chairs to their designated places after use (we appeal to all societies to take responsibility for this).
– Parents, please supervise your children and prevent them from damaging the flowers.

- (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be reading from the letters of St. Peter Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.
