Good morning beloved child of God.The Lord is compassion and love. As we celebrate God’s infinite love for humanity today, may His love be upon us as we place all our hope in Him.
Ps 111
I will thank the Lord with all my heart in the meeting of the just and their assembly. Great are the works of the Lord, to be pondered by all who love them. Majestic and glorious his work, his justice stands firm for ever. He makes us remember his wonders. The Lord is compassion and love. He gives food to those who fear him; keeps his covenant ever in mind.
He has shown his might to his people by giving them the lands of the nations. His works are justice and truth, his precepts are all of them sure, standing firm for ever and ever; they are made in uprightness and truth.
He has sent deliverance to his people and established his covenant for ever. Holy his name, to be feared. To fear the Lord is the first stage of wisdom; all who do so prove themselves wise. His praise shall last for ever!
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
TODAY’S WORD:
The love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given us. We were still helpless when at his appointed moment Christ died for sinful men. It is not easy to die even for a good man – though of course for someone really worthy, a man might be prepared to die – but what proves that God loves us is that Christ died for us while we were still sinners (Rom. 5:5ff)….What man among you with a hundred sheep, losing one, would not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the missing one till he found it? And when he found it, would he not joyfully take it on his shoulders and then, when he got home, call together his friends and neighbours? “Rejoice with me,” he would say “I have found my sheep that was lost. (Lk.15: 3ff).
DAILY PRAYER:
Sweet Heart of Jesus, fount of love and mercy. Today we come your blessings to implore. O touch our hearts so cold and so ungrateful, and make them Lord your own forevermore. Heart of Jesus, make us love you and our neighbors more and more. Amen.
The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Think positive. It is well with you. God is in control. Have a blessed and fulfilling feast day.
TODAY IS THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS, THE SYMBOL OF GOD’S IMMENSE AND LAVISH LOVE FOR HUMANITY. LET US CONTINUE TO BE GRATEFUL FOR SUCH UNDESERVED LOVE, AND MAKE REPARATION FOR ALL UNREQUITED LOVE OF GOD.
