  1. 2023 WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY: Today, May 21st, 2023 is World Communications Day with the theme; Speaking with the Heart the Truth in Love (Eph. 4:15)”. Let us endeavour to listen to God and one another in the Church. Our Second Collection will be a special one for Communications in the Archdiocese.
  1. PENTECOST NOVENA: Our Parish Pentecost Novena began last Friday May 19th and is still ongoing until Saturday May 27th 2023. Theme: Renew your Wonders Again (Hab. 3:2). It is oldest novena in the history of the Church and we are all expected to participate actively. It begins daily with the 6:30pm mass Below are the topics for each day:

  1. PENTECOST SUNDAY: Next week Sunday, June 28th 2023 is Pentecost Sunday, the Descent of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. Let us pray for a spiritual renewal for ourselves and our Church.
  1. MAY DEVOTION: The 2023 May Devotion to Our Blessed Virgin Mary is still ongoing. There have been brief talks on various aspects of the Blessed Virgin Mary after Post-Communion Prayer from Mondays to Friday at 6:30pm Masses, Saturdays at 6:30am Mass and Sundays during Benediction. Let us all endeavour to attend and participate actively. We are also all encouraged to pray the Holy Rosary daily. Below are the topics for our daily talks for your own personal reflection:

  1. CHARITY/LOVE BOWL: We wish to remind our parishioners to return their Lenten Charity/ Love bowls to St Vincent de Paul Society. Let us endeavor to be committed. Remember; “whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren, that you do unto me”.
  1. CD SALES:  The Video Recording of the Rededication Ceremony is out!! The CD goes for 500 naira only. Ensure you get one for yourselves, friends and family members.
  1. REMINDER: We are reminded that the enrollment of young people between the ages of 0- 16 years with a unique National Identification Number (NIN) in our parish ends today from 8:00am. We kindly encourage all parents of wards within the specified age brackets to make their children available. Please come along with their birth certificates or international passports. Forms will be made available for us to fill. Please note that, NIN of one of the parents is required for this exercise.
  1. SINGLES & MARRIED: Our weekly devotion holds tomorrow Monday, 22nd May 2023 and every other Monday, immediately after the Evening Mass at the Upper hall. Topic:Influencing Marriage Partner for a Godly Home”. Speaker: Rev. Fr. Mark Okojie. All parishioners especially Married couples, Singles, Young and Old are specially invited.

  1. CYON TEEN CAMP 2023: We are back again, bigger and better! Do not miss this year’s 2023 Teen Camp, packed with daily masses, Rosary, Morning Drills, Leadership Seminars, Skill acquisition, Social nights, movie nights and tons more all for the token of 20,000 naira.   1. CHILDREN MASS: Parents and Guardians are encouraged to take their children to attend the 8am Children Mass at the Upper Hall. Church wardens are to direct them accordingly.
  1. 2022 HARVEST: The Harvest Committee for last year’s Harvest of Divine Peace is winding down their accounts. All those who made pledges should kindly redeem them by cash, cheque or POS at the Harvest Stand (on Sundays) and Parish Office (during the week). PARISH ID CARDS: This is to inform parishioners that the Parish ID cards of those who registered since last year and beyond are ready for collection at the Parish Office, kindly go to the Parish Office to check. Also, we encourage our new members to please register at the Parish Office and those whose card is expired can as well renew at the Parish Office.

HOLY CHILD CHOIR: The Holy Child Choir invites all children within the ages of 8 to 15 years who can play any musical instrument to come use their talents and skills to serve the Lord in the choir. The choir meets on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 6pm in the upper hall of the parish center. Registration is free.  Sing praises… unto the Lord!

At very affordable prices, we offer the following services: Photocopying, Lamination, Binding, Spiral Binding, Typing, Printing, Colored Photocopy etc. We also offer a vast range of books ranging from Literature to Accounting to Economics and a lot more.   1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, in other to keep the story of the Ascension fresh in our minds, we shall be reading from the Gospels of John & Luke, and then Acts of the Apostles. Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

  1. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
