APPRECIATION: We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Parish Finance Council, members of the 2023 harvest planning committee and the entire parishioners for their participation and generous contribution at last Sunday’s Harvest of Thanksgiving. We also appeal to all who made pledges to please kindly redeem them in earnest at the Harvest Stand (on Sunday) and the parish office (on Weekdays) in cash, cheque or POS and get a receipt.   1. MONTH OF EUCHARISTIC ENCOUNTER: All parishioners are encouraged to spend more time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in the month of November, our month of “Eucharistic Encounter”. We are invited to spend at least one hour as individuals, families, societies and organizations. There shall be exposition in the main Church Building on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays after every mass, and other days in the Chapel of Adoration. Come to me all who labour……. and I will give you rest (Mt. 11:28)”.
  1. SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE POOR: Today, 19th November 2023 is our monthly Special Collection for the Poor. This collection is to help support the activities of St. Vincent De Paul. Let us all donate generously. “Remember, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.”
  1. FREE FINANCIAL LITERACY & ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING: The youth groups of Holy Family Catholic Church in conjunction with MONEY4YOU Company, a UK-based Company is organizing a one-day Financial Management and Entrepreneurship Seminar holding today Sunday, 19th November 2023 by 12noon at the Upper Hall. We are calling on all parishioners especially the youths to participate effectively. It is absolutely FREE. See you there.
  1. CHRISTIAN WAKE: There will be Christian Wake for Late Mrs Mulikat Margaret Ogundiran on Tuesday, 21st November, 2023 (Venue: 711 Road, A Close, House 10, Festac Town by 6:00pm. She was a member of St. Michael Society. We are all encouraged to pray for the repose of her soul.
  1. CHRIST THE KING: The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe comes up next week Sunday, 26th November 2023. We shall have our Eucharistic Procession after the 10:00am mass in an orderly and prayerful manner. Let us all prepare to adore Christ as King.
  1. ADVENT: Sunday, 3rd December, 2023, is the First Sunday of Advent, the beginning of the New Liturgical Year and a season of preparation for the Birth of Christ. Let us prepare our hearts to fully participate in this season.
  1. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: SCC meetings have resumed and will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, 22nd November 2023 at 6pm. Scriptural reading: Matthew 25:31-46. Please note that there will be no evening Mass or Society meetings during the SCC time. There shall be mass this Wednesday at St. Albert the Great SCC. Venue: 5th Avenue, M Close, House 18, Festac Town. All those living around should be in attendance. Please refer to the Parish notice board or parish website for the various centers.
  1. YCW WHITE CHRISTMAS PARTY 4TH EDITION: The Young Christian Workers Movement of Nigeria Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac Town heartily invites you to her annual White Christmas Party. PARISH FESTIVAL CHRISTMAS OF LESSONS AND CAROLS: The Holy Family Choir Council invites all parishioners and guests to the 2023 Service of Carols and Lessons with the theme “Christmas Comes to Bless… (Lk. 2:14). This event will take place on Sunday, 10th December, 2023, at the Main Church Building. Time: 3:30pm prompt!!   1. WORLD HIV DAY: The HIV treatment Centre at HFCCMC invites all parishioners to their VCT Centre for FREE HIV SERVICES. This includes: Counselling and Testing; Provision of free HIV medication; Provision of PMTCT service; Provision of PREP and PEP; Discount on Cervical Cancer Screening; Hepatitis Screening and Vaccination. Also, the Medical Centre shall be conducting the following tests at a discounted rate on: Electro Cardiogram (ECG), Breast Scan, Prostate Scan and Chest X-ray for the 1st 20 persons each at 50% price discount; Free Glucose (Blood Sugar) test. Celebrate with us on World HIV Day on Friday, 1st December, 2023. Finally, the Eye Clinic is now open from Mondays to Saturdays 9am to 5pm daily.   1. PEWS DONATION PROJECT: This is to notify all parishioners that compilation of the names of those who supported the Parish with pews is currently ongoing. Please kindly come to the Parish Office (on Weekdays) or Bulletin Stand (on Sundays) with evidence. This can also be done through your society and organizations leaders. Thank you as you do so and may the Lord bless you abundantly and reward handsomely. Amen.
  1. CHRISTMAS SHARING: The Society of St. Vincent De Paul wishes to inform parishioners that her annual Christmas Sharing for the poor and needy ones is here again. As such, we plead for your support. We need non-perishable food items such as bags of rice, beans, garri, cooking oil etc. Kindly donate in cash or kind to the society or contact the Parish Priest.   1. 21-DAY FOUNDATIONAL PRAYER: All Parishioners are specially invited to next year’s Parish 21-Day Foundational Prayer 2024.   1. ALTAR SERVERS:  There is a call for new members into the Association. Male (from age of communicant to 16 years) & Female (from age of communicant to 12 years) previous servers from other Parish are also free to join. We encourage all parents/guardians to permit children who are interested to join.
  1. BLESSING OF HOLY WATER AND SACRAMENTALS: Parishioners are encouraged to come with their Water, Salt, Olive Oil and other sacramentals for blessing every Tuesday for the Rite of Blessings during the evening mass.
  1. This is to inform you our dear parents that the NIN slips of their children who registered for the NIN exercise conducted in the parish sometime in the month of May are ready for pickup. Kindly pick them up at the Parish Office during the week between 9:00am to 4:00pm.

This is to inform parishioners that the Parish ID cards of those who registered since June this year and beyond are ready for collection at the Parish Office, kindly go to the Parish Office to check. Also, we encourage our new members to please register at the Parish Office and those whose card is expired can as well renew at the Parish Office.

  1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, as the Liturgical Year gradually comes to an end, we shall be reading from the Gospel of Luke. Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.
