  1. VOCATION SUNDAY: Today, 21st April 2024 is Good Shepherd Sunday (Vocation Sunday). It is a day all the faithful are encouraged to pray for an increase in vocations to the Priesthood and Religious life; that God will raise up many holy Priests, brothers and sisters who, in selfless and willing service, will lead the people to knowledge of Him. Please note that there will be a special collection (Seminary Collection) at all masses today, let us all donate generously.
  1. WELCOME: We welcome the Catholic Women Organization Festac Deanery (CWONFED) to our Parish as they hold their general meeting today, 21st April, 2024. We pray and wish you successful deliberations.

  1. BULLETIN: Dear parishioners we wish to inform you that due to the increased cost of publishing our weekly parish bulletin, the cost of purchase is now #200. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences.
  1. SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE POOR: Today, 21st April 2024 shall be our monthly Special Collection for the Poor. This collection is to help support the activities of St. Vincent De Paul. Let us all donate generously. “Remember, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me”
  1. CHURCH REDEDICATION 1ST ANNIVERSARY: In celebration of the first anniversary of our Church’s Rededication Ceremony, the parish is organizing a series of events for all parishioners. The events will hold from Sunday, 28th April to Sunday, 5th May 2024, and the lined-up activities are as follows:

  1. CHARITY/LOVE BOWL: We wish to remind our parishioners to return their Lenten Charity/ Love bowls to St Vincent de Paul Society. Let us endeavor to be committed. Remember; “whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren, that you do unto me”.
  1. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: Small Christian Community meetings will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, 24th April, 2024 at 6pm. Scriptural Reading: John 15:1-8. Please note that there will be no evening Mass or Society meetings during the SCC time.There shall be mass this Wednesday at St. Andrew SCC. Venue: 511 Road, B Close, House 11, Festac Town. We are all encouraged to attend the SCC closest to us.
  1. CHRISTIAN WAKE: There will be a Christian Wake for Late Engr. Peter Emezie Ezeokoye on Tuesday, 23rd April, 2024 at 6:00pm. (Venue: 3rd Avenue,X Close (Car Park), Festac). We ae all encouraged to pray for the repose of his soul.
  1. REQUIEM MASSES: There will be Requiem Masses for Late Mrs Mabel Tina Oparaocha on Wednesday, 24th April 2024 by 12:30pm and Late Chief George & Monica Nsude on Friday, 26th April 2024 by 12:30pm. We are all encouraged to pray for the repose of their souls.
  1. MAY DEVOTION: The 2024 May Devotion to Our Blessed Virgin Mary begins on Wednesday, 1st May 2024 with a Rosary Procession immediately after the 6:30am mass. There shall be brief Marian talks on various aspects of the Blessed Virgin Mary after Post-Communion Prayer from Mondays to Friday at 6:30pm Masses, Saturdays at 6:30am Mass and Sundays during Benediction. Let us all endeavour to attend and participate actively so as to have a fruitful devotion to our Mother Mary.
  1. ALTAR BREAD: We wish to inform all parishioners that a pack of Altar Bread is now sold for N2,500. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
  1. GROUP WEDDING: To celebrate the First Anniversary of our Church Rededication, the Parish will hold a Group Wedding on Saturday, 4th May, 2024. We are all cordially invited!!
  1. BROWN SCAPULAR: There will be preparation and lectures as organized by the World Apostolate of Fatima toward the investiture and consecration of interested Catholics with the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Sunday, 12th May and Monday, 13th May, 2024.   1. PENTECOST DAY: This is to inform you our dear parishioners that our Parish will be hosting the 2024 Regional Pentecost Confirmation on Sunday, 19th May, 2024 during the 10:00am mass. Please note that the 10:00am mass that day will be for only the candidates for confirmation and their catechists from the Badagry Region.
  1. THINK BEFORE TRASHING: As the saying goes, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”. In the spirit of oneness and unity, we the youths of Holy Family Catholic Church, wish to urge and implore all the youths in the parish to come out en-masse for a cleaning exercise tagged: Think before trashing. This is a social responsibility of our church to the society. The cleaning will cover the entire 22road environment. This promises to be fun and sporty, come along with looking sporty.   1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with the Acts of the Apostles. Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

  1. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
