SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY: Today, 26th May 2024 is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the undivided unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let us all celebrate this great mystery of the Church.
SPECIAL BLESSING FOR THE MONTH: Today is the Last Sunday of the month. There shall be a special thanksgiving for those born in the month of May and those who had wedding anniversaries or any special celebration during this month.
FEAST OF THE VISITATION: Friday, 31st May 2024 is the feast of the visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin Elizabeth. We are all encouraged to observe the feast devoutly.
MAY DEVOTION 2024: The May Devotion to Blessed Virgin Mary will end on Friday, May 31st, 2024. Rosary Procession starts at 5.30pm and concluding Marian Talk during Mass after post Communion prayer. Let us participate and receive the blessings of the devotion to Blessed Virgin Mary.
SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: Next week Sunday, 2nd June 2024 is the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus et Sanguinis Christi). It is a day set aside by the Church to remember and appreciate Jesus’ gift of His body and blood to mankind for our sanctification, and salvation (eternal life). Let us all prepare to celebrate this great mystery of the Church where Jesus is really PRESENT in the Holy Eucharist though in the form of bread and wine.
ORDINARY TIME: The Liturgical Period referred to as “Ordinary Time of the Year” has begun. The weeks of Ordinary Time celebrates no particular aspect of the mystery of Christ. The saying of “Angelus” has resumed. The colour of the season is Green.
CHILDREN’S DAY: Our Parish Children’s Day Celebration comes up tomorrow 27th May, 2024 beginning with the 12:30pm mass and social celebrations after, in front of the church.
SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: Small Christian Community meetings will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024 at 6pm. Scriptural Reading: Mark 14:12-16; 22-26. Please note that there will be no evening Mass or Society meetings during the SCC time.There shall be mass this Wednesday at St. Augustine SCC. Venue: 3rd Avenue, Y Close, House 6, Festac Town. We are all encouraged to attend the SCC closest to us.
CHIRISTISN WAKE: There will be Christian Wake for Late Mrs Juliana Ibeawuchi on Tuesday, 28th May, 2024 by 6:00pm (Venue: 311 Road, E Close, Block 4, Flat 1, Festac Town). We are all encouraged to pray for the repose of her soul.
CHIRISTISN WAKE & FUNERAL MASS: There will be Christian Wake for Late Pa Micheal Oyesiji on Thursday, 30th May 2024 by 6:00pm (Venue: 3rd Avenue, G Close, House 4, Festac Town) and Funeral Mass on Friday, 31st May, 2024 by 10:00am. We are all encouraged to pray for the repose of his soul.
FIRST SATURDAY: The First Saturday Marian Devotion and Rosary Procession comes up this Saturday, June 1st, 2024 after the 6:30am Mass.
PARISH ID CARDS: This is to inform parishioners that the Parish ID cards of those who registered since last year 2023 and beyond are ready for collection at the Parish Office, kindly go to the Parish Office to check. Also, we encourage our new members to please register at the Parish Office and those whose card is expired can as well renew at the Parish Office.
NOVENA TO OUR LADY UNDOER OF KNOTS: Our Parish novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots comes up every month from the 1st to 9th of the month. Let us participate actively with the prayers on the various parish platforms.
TITHE SUNDAY: Next Sunday is Tithe Sunday, those who wish to pay their tithes should pick up an envelope for use next week. You can also make your transfers to our Fidelity Bank 5080032193 in favour of Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac.
ALTAR BREAD: We wish to inform all parishioners that a pack of Altar Bread is now sold for N2,500. We apologize for any inconvenience.
(1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with the Gospel of St. John. Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
SECURITY: We will like to draw our parishioners’ attention to be more security conscious and hold on to our valuables especially in the church during mass. This is to prevent cases of theft in the church.
