  1. TITHE SUNDAY: Today, the first Sunday of the month is Tithe Sunday, there shall be a special blessing before the Second Collection. You can also make your transfers to our Fidelity Bank 5080032193 in favour of Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac.
  1. FEAST DAY: Tomorrow, 3rd July 2023 is the feast of St. Thomas (Apostle). We are all encouraged to attend mass and observe the feast devoutly.
  1. FIRST MONDAY ANOINTING: Tomorrow, 3rd July 2023, is the first Monday of the month. There shall be special blessing and anointing at all masses. Let us all endeavour to participate in this spiritual exercise.
  1. FIRST FRIDAY COMMUNION TO THE SICK AND HOME-BOUND: The First Friday visit and communion to the sick and home-bound comes up this Friday, July 7th, 2023.
  1. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: SCC meetings will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, 5th July 2023 at 6pm. Scriptural reading: Matthew 11:25-30. Please note that there will be no evening Mass or Society meetings during the SCC time. There shall be mass this Wednesday at St. Albert the Great SCC. Venue: 5th Avenue, M Close, House 18, Festac Town. All those living around should be in attendance. Please refer to the Parish notice board or parish website for the various centers.
  1. MEETING WITH THE PARISH PRIEST & PASTORAL COMMITTEES: There will be a meeting of ALL officers of various societies/organizations with the parish priest as follows:

    a. Monday, 3rd July 2023- Devotional Societies: Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Divine Mercy, Infant Jesus, St. Anthony, St. Jude’s, Sacred Hearts of Jesus, Pope’s Worldwide Network, St. Theresa, Purgatorian Society, St. John of the Cross, Holy Rosary, Block Rosary, Legion of Mary, St. Rita, Blessed Tansi, Queen of all Hearts, St. Gerald, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Pio, Blue Army, Precious Blood.

    b. Tuesday, 4th July 2023- Liturgical Groups/ Welfare & Social Action Societies: Altar Servers, Lectors, Altar Ladies, Choir Council, Church Wardens, Sacristan, JDPC, St. Vincent De Paul, Prison Chaplaincy, Red Cross, Pious Women, Welfare officers of all parish societies and organization.

    c. Wednesday, 5th July 2023- Community Building & Evaluation: Small Christian Community Facilitators, Catholic Men Organization, Catholic Women Organization, Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria, Catholic Young Adults Association, Missionary Childhood Association, Catholic Nurses Guild, National Association of Catholic Lawyers, Young Christian Workers 3b. Catechists Association, Marriage Preparation facilitators, Catholic Charismatic Renewal, Catholic Evangelizers, Catholic Biblical Movement, Man of Order and Discipline, Catholic Teachers Association, Single & Married.

    Please note that all meetings will hold at the Cardinal Okogie Hall from 7pm. Attendance is compulsory for all those involved, failure to attend will attract sanctions.
  1. FIRST FRIDAY PRAISE PROGRAM: The parish cordially invites you to our maiden First Friday praise and worship program which holds this Friday, 7th July 2023. This is an avenue for intense moments of seasoned praise/worship and ceaseless testimonies. This program begins immediately after the evening mass and will hold subsequently on the first Friday of every month. Remember, there is joy in the presence of God. Don’t forget to bring a friend along.
  1. NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF KNOTS: Our Parish novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots runs from the 1st to 9th of every month. Let us participate actively in these efficacious prayers on the various parish platforms.
  1. MISSIONARY CHILDHOOD ASSOCIATION: This is to inform you our dear parishioners that the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA) will be having her Inaugural Solemn Reception of children into the association o Sunday, 16th July 2023. All parents/guardians interested in enrolling their children/wards, should kindly meet us every Saturday at the Lower Hall by 2pm. Also, there will be a brochure for the event.   1. FREE MEDICAL TEST: There will be Free Blood Pressure, Height and Weight check at the gate every Sunday after the 8:00am and 10:00am masses. Please do well to avail yourself this opportunity.
  1. NIN COLLECTION: This is to inform you our dear parents whose children registered for the NIN exercised conducted in the parish last 2 weeks that the slips are ready for pickup. Kindly pick them up at the Parish Office during the week between 9:00am to 4:00pm.
  1. CD SALES:  The Video Recording of the Rededication Ceremony is out!! The CD goes for #500 only. Ensure you get one for yourselves, friends and family members.
  1. ORGANIZATIONS MEETING: Next week Sunday, 9th July 2023, is the Monthly General Meetings of the Catholic Men Organization and Catholic Women Organization (after the 10.00am Mass) and Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (after the 8:00am Mass). Let us all prepare to attend our respective organization meetings.
  1. CATHOLIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATION: The 2023 summer lesson will start on Monday 31st July and end on Friday 25th August, 2023. Our usual programme include Academics, Vocational Training, Library Studies, Moral Instruction(s) and Religious Studies as each day’s lesson ends with the attendance of the Holy Mass. Parents or Guardians should kindly register their children/ward at the Parish Office or the Laity Office. Fees: #3,000 (Nursery & Primary) and #3500 (Secondary).
  1. CYON TEEN CAMP 2023: We are back again, bigger and better! Do not miss this year’s 2023 Teen Camp, packed with daily masses, Rosary, Morning Drills, Leadership Seminars, Skill acquisition, Social nights, movie nights and tons more all for the token of 20,000 naira.   1. CHILDREN MASS: Parents and Guardians are encouraged to take their children to attend the 8am Children Mass at the Upper Hall. Church wardens are to direct them accordingly.
  1. 2022 HARVEST: All those who made pledges at last year’s Harvest of Divine Peace and previous Harvests should kindly redeem them by cash, cheque or POS at the Harvest Stand (on Sundays) and Parish Office (during the week). PARISH ID CARDS: This is to inform parishioners that the Parish ID cards of those who registered since last year and beyond are ready for collection at the Parish Office, kindly go to the Parish Office to check. Also, we encourage our new members to please register at the Parish Office and those whose card is expired can as well renew at the Parish Office.
  1. HOLY CHILD CHOIR: The Holy Child Choir invites all children within the ages of 8 to 15 years who can play any musical instrument to come use their talents and skills to serve the Lord in the choir. The choir meets on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 6pm in the upper hall of the parish center. Registration is free.  Sing praises… unto the Lord!

HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC PARISH LIBRARY: We are pleased to inform you that the Anthony Cardinal Okogie Reference (Parish) Library located beside the Anthony Cardinal Okojie Lower Hall is here to serve you better. At very affordable prices, we offer the following services: Photocopying, Lamination, Binding, Spiral Binding, Typing, Printing, Colored Photocopy etc. We also offer a vast range of books ranging from Literature to Accounting to Economics and a lot more.   1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be reading from the Acts of the Apostles. Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

  1. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
