The first reading present to us the servant in whom God is glorified as that servant who helps Israel to retrace her step back to God anytime that Israel strays from God. The second reading makes us understand that one of the main characteristics of a servant in whom God is glorified is that even the choice of someone becoming a servant must conform to the will of God, and that such a servant must bear witness to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, sent into the world for the redemption of mankind from sin. And the gospel reading presents to us St. John the Baptist as a good example of a servant in whom God is glorified, in that John the Baptist bore witness to Christ Jesus, saying: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” We are children of God, but can we in truth say of ourselves that we are servants of God in whom He is glorified? What kind of witness do we bear of Christ to our brothers and sisters; and are we consistent in bearing the right witness of Christ to our brothers and sisters?
PRAYER FOR THE WEEK:
O God, may I be a servant of yours in whom you are gloried. May I ever be of right conduct so that my encounter with anyone will help to draw that person closer to you, my God. Grant me the grace to always give service that will reflect your love made visible in Christ.
TRIAN A VIRTUE FOR CHRIST: (Exemplary) Be a desirable model of good conducts.
MEDITATION POINTSFOR THE WEEK:
